What is the difference between Stack9 Core and Stack9 Experience?
- Stack9 Core is for building custom applications, back-office systems, and portals from JSON entity definitions. Stack9 Experience adds pre-integrated content management, marketing automation, and AI capabilities on top, accessible via API.
Is Stack9 open source, and how is it priced?

How do I get started with Stack9?
- Install the Stack9 CLI, scaffold a new instance, and follow the getting started guide to define your first entities and screens. Most teams have a working application within a day.
What tech stack does Stack9 use?
- Stack9 is TypeScript end to end: an Express and Knex backend with a PostgreSQL database, a React-based UI, and Redis-backed background jobs, packaged as a set of npm libraries and a base Docker image.
Where can Stack9 be hosted?
- Stack9 ships as a Docker image and can be deployed to any container platform. April9 provides reference infrastructure-as-code for AWS, and can also manage hosting on your behalf.
What support options are available?

How do I upgrade an existing Stack9 instance?
- Stack9 instances update by pulling new versions of the published npm packages and base Docker image. Bootstrap runs are idempotent, so migrations and schema syncs apply safely on restart.
